PostSubject: Idea: Offline League   Thu Aug 11, 2011 3:03 am

Ok I've had this idea for a few days now. I remember a few years ago offline racing was very popular but has gotten very bland as of late. before you go all "BLAsh this is just going to be another boring offline league DO NOT WANT!!" read this post. If you vote No please reply to the topic on why you think this is a bad idea otherwise it will be disregarded as trolling.

So what I wanted to do was run an offline league but not the same old boring way.

1. You don't just run your own car as yourself, you start your own team with 1-3 ai drivers

2. A money system would be used things like entry fee, damage, team management, driver/crew salaries, sponsor income, and race winnings would all be affected by money

3. Ratings for car and pit crew will start at 80-80, you can increase your ratings buy buying them with money your team makes.

4. driver ratings will be determined by the type of driver you hire keep in mind that drivers with higher ratings will require a higher salary

5. There will be a drivers and owners championship, for instance if you want to hire different drivers for diferent races IE: a road course ringer, superspeedway specialist. you can still win an owners championship. or if you want to run one driver full time you can do that too.

6. make sure you post your enties in an entry list before the race or you driver wont race

7. Races will be around 100-200 miles in length

8. Races will be run on saturday nights AND will be hosted on my server so you can come in and watch, you dont have to be there it would be cool to watch the races for yourself, and give the sense of being a real team owner

9. idk what mod to use yet

so what do you guys think?

I just don't like the whole idea of what your gonna attempt to do, well actually, I just don't like offline leagues in general anymore. You really over complicated it. lol One of the reasons why I liked Rocky's place before he went off the deep end a couple years ago is because it was streamed, laid back and wasn't really serious, plus didn't have long ass races lol. I don't really feel like opening my game to watch a ai race when I can just have it open in a stream.

well i wanted to have something diferent and something you can actually get into . I think it would be fun to manage a team, i knew some people would think this is over complicated but when you think about it its really not if you think about it. Mabey 10 minutes or so to think about what you want to have for a team and stuff. I will keep track of all the team's expenses and stuff. this idea is meant for you to get really involved and actually have input rather than win or lose out of luck. mabey I will shorten the race length though. and like i said you dont have to be there

and about watching the races, personally i would rather watch them from my game and be able to watch what i want rather than watching a low quality stream that lags every 3 seconds but i guess whatever people like i will do

I'm not gonna vote but I honestly don't see the point in offline leagues. Never have. Why people get excited about them is beyond me lol. But go for it. I'm sure Maniaco will be all over this lol

Sounds fun, but I'd lose track like 5 minutes into the race XD

heres what ive been thinking for a ratings system for the drivers

Balanced:
Aggression: 92
Consistency: 92
Finishing: 92
Qualifying: 92
Road Course: 92
Short track: 92
Speedway: 92
Superspeedway: 92

Agressive:
Aggression: 94
Consistency: 90
Finishing: 90
Qualifying: 94
Road Course: 92
Short track: 92
Speedway: 92
Superspeedway: 92

Conservative:
Aggression: 90
Consistency: 94
Finishing: 94
Qualifying: 92
Road Course: 92
Short track: 92
Speedway: 92
Superspeedway: 92

Road course ringer:
Aggression: 95
Consistency: 90
Finishing: 90
Qualifying: 95
Road Course: 95
Short track: 85
Speedway: 85
Superspeedway: 85

Superspeedway Ringer:
Aggression: 93
Consistency: 92
Finishing: 92
Qualifying: 95
Road Course: 85
Short track: 85
Speedway: 85
Superspeedway: 95

Short track driver:
Aggression: 95
Consistency: 90
Finishing: 90
Qualifying: 95
Road Course: 85
Short track: 95
Speedway: 85
Superspeedway: 85

drivers get 10% of race winnings and 10% of sponsor income
