Hello Hicoga here,

I'm new to online racing, new to nr2003 in general actually. I finally got the game just a few months ago. I've been a nascar fan all my life and this game is definitally the most realistic one out there. And yah, I'm a "keyboard racer" but I'm not a wrecker.

I was wondering how to race online. I get the whole IP adress and password thing but I'm still a little confused. Do I need to join a league or can I just get on and race?

An explanation would be much appreciated.

Since you are new here, you will likely need to run a few races in our ARCA series. To sign up for that series, first read through the list of numbers and sponsors taken ( http://www.solsticeracing.net/t642-numbers-sponsors-list ) and then sign up in the sign ups thread. ( http://www.solsticeracing.net/t599-season-1-sign-ups )

After a few races the admins will determine if you will be able to move up to the higher level series.

At the moment, our leagues are under a temporary stoppage while the head admin is dealing with some family issues. But racing should resume again sometime in the next few weeks.

Hmmm, there are some tutorials you could look up on YouTube. Just look up 'nr03 gimp tutorial' and there's bound to be a few videos that could help. Personally I don't paint cars so I'm not the best person to ask in that respect.

What Sherm has said is correct, and not to discourage you, but atm it would be easier to request for a car here in the NR2003 General Discussion. BUT if you want to paint your own car, pretty much do what Sherm said, if you don't want to make a base for the car, you can go download some from MasGrafx Racing. You are going to need a lot of patience lol.

Oh and do you guys have a link to the ARCA series mod you use? There are a few I found and I'm not sure which is the right one.
