PostSubject: ARCA Series Poll:   Mon Jan 03, 2011 5:33 am

It could be possible in the future that we could run an ARCA Series for new guys/ guys who need more experience and help. I am trying to see how many people will want to run in it. If we have at least 10 people interested in running each week, we could run. It will be like CRI's league except hopefully we can have guys like Codol, Shawn, DK, Caleb, and other good guys help out the rooks a little more.

How many people would be interested in this?

I'm interested.

As some suggestions, I'd maybe try doing the In-Game Cup Mod for a change, I know people made some schemes from the GNS ARCA Mod at CRI, but the In-Game Cup Mod (and Cup physics) could replicate ARCA pretty well as a lot of the cars are old Cup cars, and there's some good templates out there.

I assume the schedule will be essentially like the real ARCA schedule?

It probably wouldn't be more that 12 races at most. A 10 race schedule may be better, with a few off weeks (2-3 at most)

Most likely it will include 2 ss races (Tona and Dega, where anyone can run), 3-4 intermediate tracks (Atlanta, Chicagoland, Kentucky, and one undecided), Dover and New Hampshire, a road course race (Watkins Glen would probably be the best or Infineon), and a slew of short tracks, obviously.

Maybe we could throw in Pocono for a wildcard(ish) race. That would hit 10-12 races there.

If we get a enough interest, Caleb will allow it to be ran. If we only get 4-6 people like we did at CRI, then it'll be a waste of time.

would be an epic series but we would need some more people (rookies) over here to race. and if we did this we should run ARCA tracks including one dirt track (orange county would be epic). using the in-game mod sounds cool but i think it would be better just to run the arca mod

I agree that we should run the ARCA tracks, we already run all the Cup tracks in Proline and other series, if we run the Cup tracks, I probably won't be as interested in it honestly.

I'm down with ARCA tracks being ran, except for the fact that some of them probably aren't made for nr2k3...

Obviously Dega, Chicagoland, Daytona, and Kansas would... along with Toledo

Lemme look at the ARCA schedule and compare it to tracks made for nr2k3 and what not.

We'd probably do 15-20% races, too

I don't have a problem with running the Cup Tracks that have ARCA Races on it, I just wouldn't be a big fan of going to other Cup tracks (Ex.: Las Vegas).

I'm sure you aren't going to completely replicate the whole schedule, but here's the tracks on the 2011 ARCA Schedule that AREN'T made for NR2003:

New Jersey Motorsports Park
DuQuoin State Fairgrounds (Although it's being made by someone who posted at NR2k3 Tracks Forum, whether it will be completed, who knows.)
Winchester has been made, but it's a beta.

1. Daytona
2. Salem
3. Texas/Atlanta/?
4. Toledo
5. Chicagoland/Kansas/?
6. Iowa
7. Pocono/Michigan/?
8. Mansfield
9. North Carolina
10. Talladega

not bad of a schedule but last time we raced north carolina we failed. that would be a good place to put a dirt track

That was in Proline though with a fairly big sized field. Rockingham isn't on the ARCA Schedule next year if you're following the ARCA schedule at all.

I think the schedule should be like this:

1. Daytona
2. Salem
3. Pocono
4. Toledo
5. Chicago
6. Iowa
7. ORP
8. Rockingham
9. Talladega
10. Road America
11. Mansfield
12. Atlanda

My Schedule:

1. Daytona
2. Salem
3. Road America (Some Road Course that could be put in place of New Jersey MP)
4. Chicagoland
5. Michigan
6. Berlin
7. Iowa
8. ORP
9. Pocono
10. Illinois State Fairgrounds Dirt Track
11. Talladega
12. Toledo

Like I said, my ideas were to run mostly on all the tracks that ARCA runs on besdies a different road course.

You could also think about Winchester (I guess the Beta is pretty much final), and Madison as well, both short tracks.
