3SLR drivers Chris Wetz had strong showings Monday at Daytona International Speedway, finishing 5th and 7th respectively. While Chris Wetz had a relatively smooth race, besides a spin in the first half, Kahrs had a rougher night. During the previously mentioned wreck involving Chris Wetz, Kahrs was tapped from behind by Jarrett Stewart and sent for a quick spin through the backstretch concrete. On the next restart, Kahrs failed to go when expected, and experienced some wheelspin that led him into the outside wall momentarily and as a result, Kahrs, along with vitcim Jake Poulin, lost the draft for the next fuel run. However, a caution allowed both of them to catch up to the field. Late in the race, both Kahrs and Wetz were saving fuel. Kahrs had lost the draft by several seconds with 5 laps to go, which proved a blessing as he missed the wreck that set up the GWC. During the final run, Wetz missed the wreck easily, and Kahrs drove through the grass to miss the wreck. Chris Wetz collected a stellar 5th place finish in his Ron Paul 2012 Ford, while Kahrs earned a respectable 7th place in his Hot Wheels Silverado. Next week the Solstice World Truck Series heads to Colorado National for 100 laps in the Colorado National 100.
