Green Flag out for Hour 1.

Aaand we have trouble already. Before we even make it to turn 1 the engine has blown on Jordan Hyland's Zytek 09S.

Here we get a look at LMP2 leading Matheus Michelin early on:

And 5 minutes into the race GTE leaders Zach Johnson, Ryan Williams and Cody Erdmann

Here we see LMP2 Level 5 teammates battling:

First Lead Change of the race. Tom Delgado passing Ben Atkins:

Some mid pack battling

About 8 minutes in the leaders hit the first of the lap traffic. Its a Lotus
and it causes a lead change. Atkins back to it:

10 minutes in..Things break loose:

Caleb Paul turns the #65 Lotus in the chicane:

The following Lap Zach Duff bumps the #64 Lotus:

3 turns later...Brendan Kaczmarek dumps the #64 Lotus:

Everything seems to settle down a bit for 15 minutes. Greg Woodard takes LMP2 lead.

We have Big Trouble in the 22nd minute:
Keith Sherman dumps Antony Blalock who backs hard into the chicane wall:

Antony trying to limp back to the pits causes a bit of chaos. The
crew goes to work on the car but it will be a long repair.
They must finish before the end of the race to be classified to start next hour:

26 minutes in Zach Johnson is ran over by Duff, knocking the rear wing off the Ferrari

At the same time there is more trouble. Auz Grams smashes in the Peugeot of
Jacob Eicholtz knocking the rear engine cover off of Eicholtz and damaging the
aerowork of Auz's Lola.

Minute 30: TROUBLE FOR THE LEADER. Ben Atkins runs into the only GTC car left Michael
Madrigal. Ben's car is damaged and will be slower:

Less than a lap later..Ian Cooper takes the lead. He is one of the few cars
left without some aero damage it seems:

And we have our second engine failure. Its the Audi of Chad Mikosz:

Here we get a look at the damaged nose of Auz Grams.

About 35 minutes in. Big contact between Jake Poulin and Ryan Williams. Williams
has to pit for a new rear wing losing a lap.

39 minutes in we have our 3rd engine failure. Its the only Courage entry Negi
Manaka:

the field calms down and settles in now. Ian Cooper laps almost everyone.

On the last lap of the final hour. Ian Cooper laps 2nd place Brandon Lareau
giving him a huge edge for next hour.

And Ian Cooper wins hour 1 of 4:

And here comes Cody Erdmann to win GT...OH HES BLOWN UP ON THE FINAL LAP..He
coasts into the pits but cannot make it across the line..He will not get to start
next hour.

He will be credited for the most distance in race 1 because he lapped the GTE
field.

GTC Results:

GTE Results:

LMPC:

LMP2:

LMP1:

Overall:

Because Antony Blalock did not get back out..The game will not allow him in the next
race..GTC winner should be Michael Madrigal.

Due to the fact that I had already started I can't let Jeffrey in.

There is also massive derp on my part. I accidentally deleted the results page and replay of race 2..and the results of race 3..So im gonna go do some minor text updates of race 2.

In hour 2, the GTE battle stayed relatively the same. with Erdmann, Williams, and Stroski right on each other. In GTC Madrigal retains his 18 lap lead on Blalock. In LMP2 Matheus Michelin and Matt Emerson remain on the same lap in that battle. In LMP1, Lareau, Delgado, Atkins and Grams unlapped themselves and are back on the lead lap.

No big incidents, just more Lotus's getting run into.
