| I've liked everything I've seen out of Ron Paul so far, although some people have been pretty hard on him regarding his foreign/military policy. I have not been following it as much as guys like Wetz. I'm not a big fan of Cain's 9-9-9 plan, your basically giving the rich people a HUGE tax cut, and I'm not sure 9% sales tax would make up for that, but I'm not an economist, the sales tax here is 6%, so I'm not sure how exactly it would help the budget by raising sales tax 3% in Utah, while income tax is dramatically lower. I guess the benefit of that would be the fact that more people are paying less income tax which MIGHT be able to get people slightly back on their feet, but once again, how does it necessarily help the debt? _________________ Solstice Racing: Wins: 7, Poles: 1 Season I Madden '08 League Champion

| Honestly..I think most of the tax cuts for the rich are just paying off the people who fund their campaigns. |

| I watched last night's debate. I would rank the candidates' performances as follows:
1. Chris Christie - I think his 10-10-220 plan is really interesting and he sold it well.
2. Herman "Pizza" Chain - I wanted to rank him lower, but I also wanted to prove I'm not a racist.
3. Michele Bachmann - She was dressed tastefully.
4. Rick Santorum - I felt bad for him. No one knew he was there, so no one referenced him, so he never got speak, so when he did speak, he always went over his time.
5. Rick Perry - His most charismatic performance to date.
6. Mitt Romney, CEO of Massachusetts - I don't think a New Englander should be president because they just don't understand NASCAR and I think he could make Dodge pull out or something.
7. Ronald "Paul" Reagan - I just don't think these Constitutional scholars should be allowing a man to hold office for a third time, in my opinion.
8. Newt Gingrich - One of America's largest problems is obesity. I don't trust an obese man to solve it. |

| I also found it offensive they had a debate in Las Vegas so soon after what happened. I found that tasteless. It only re-opened the wounds. Poor planning. I think the next debate should be held in Cleveland. It's a nice place. |

| So, the news is saying that a NATO Airstrike killed Libyan leader Momar Gadhaffi. Showing people dancing in the street...We know for a fact that a large part of these "Militants" are not citizens of Libya. Many have come in from surrounding countries and are infact members of terrorist groups? So why are they on our side? Simple. Gadhaffi frequently spoke of the corruption in our nations. Sure, he was odd, eccentric, and weird but he would never go along with what The Powers That Be in our nations wanted.
Gadhaffi had a large support base of citizens of Libya, no matter what the proganda from the media is telling you. They have fought NATO trained troops and these "militia" of supposed rebels for months to keep Gadhaffi. Theres no doubt Gadhaffi has done some bad things, but the story we are getting from the media is just not accurate. Just another case of a country taken over, leader killed, and someone will be thrown in thats worse. Look at Iraq...Look at Egypt who just this year we pumped Hundreds of Millions if not Billions of dollars into to support the overthrow of their leader. They already have a more hostile regime in charge than the original leader was. Heck, in Egypt they showed thousands dancing in the streets. The only people they are showing now are maybe 30 peoplein a city dancing with AK-47s, I dont see many if any citizens dancing.
OH BUT WAIT. Theres another gem I've just seen on CNN making me believe this thing is a whole crock of crap. I thought the reason they couldnt show us Bin Laden pics on the is because they were gory. WELL WELL WELL they certainly must have forgotten that between now and then because they are happy who they say is Momar Gadhaffi on CNN with half his face missing. Right...
Not buying this BS...Try again next time. |
