The Solstice Proline cup series field is the first racing series to showcase the newly reconfigured Phoenix. With a fresh coat of asphalt, more banking and a completely redone dog-leg, the drivers had quite the adaptation to make. Ian Hann (#15) gets sideways in front of the field and Brandon Lambert (#53) cant get checked up in time. Contact is made, and both cars got turned around. The end result was an eight car pile up, sending last seasons Proline Champion Jake Poulin over on his roof off the #71 of Chris Wetz. This was the only major incident of the race.
